Electrical Maintenance Technician

At NG Bailey Facilities Services , we’re on the lookout for a talented Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic onsite team at Drake Circus, Plymouth. As a qualified Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our shopping centre, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Flexibility is key in a retail environment! Here’s what your standard working pattern will look like:

• Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 15:00
• One weekend in every three (with the following Monday and Tuesday off)
• One week in three working late shifts: 12:00 – 20:00

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Program for Electrical and Mechanical Building services in line with agreed SLAs.
• Costing and completing remedial works identified through PPM tasks.
• Carrying out Electrical Installation work efficiently and in compliance with National Working Regulations.
• Maintaining premises to an exceptionally high standard, managing Reactive Works when necessary.
• Completing all required documentation, job sheets, and certificates promptly.
• Participating in the team rota as the site Duty Engineer, including weekend shifts.

We seek a well-rounded Technician with strong Electrical expertise who can deliver high standards of service in a live commercial environment. Your focus on exceptional customer service will set you apart!

You should hold the following qualifications:

• Completed a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship (preferred, not essential)
• City & Guilds Electrical discipline competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent
• 18th Edition IEE Regulations
• Familiarity with Electrical/Mechanical Plant maintenance in line with SFG20
• Practical experience in PPMs and routine Mechanical & Electrical repairs
• IOSH Working/Managing Safely (desirable)
• Knowledge of safe work procedures (PTW; RAMS, etc.) (desirable)
• L8 Training (desirable)
