Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Freedom Networks is on the lookout for a passionate Chargehand Linesman to join our dynamic team! In this field-based position, you’ll play a crucial role in our Overhead Line (OHL) team, leading and collaborating on exciting projects that involve the construction, maintenance, and replacement of overhead line networks.

Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Chargehand Linesman, you will:
- Be an integral part of the Overhead Line team, erecting poles, changing transformers, and performing a variety of overhead line activities.
- Construct, maintain, and replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.
- Ensure all work aligns with Freedom standards, policies, and customer requirements.
- Lead by example, safely executing tasks as directed.
- Participate in risk assessments and continuously review site conditions.
- Work safely in accordance with company and statutory safety requirements.
- Complete tasks efficiently while adhering to company procedures and distribution safety rules.
- Install and construct overhead electricity networks to high-quality standards.
- Mentor and support the development of fellow team members.
- Maintain your own competence in line with legislative and customer requirements.
- Contribute to the safe and effective delivery of Freedom’s operations.
- Promote and adhere to all SHEQ policies and safety instructions.
- Maintain issued vehicles, tools, and equipment in excellent condition.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A background and experience as a Linesperson.
- Experience working on dead networks and/or live LV working.
- IPAF accreditation (training can be provided).
- A full UK driving licence.
- NRSWA Operative qualification.
- A strong awareness of safety and a risk-averse approach.
- The ability to interact professionally with the public.
- A team-oriented mindset, enthusiastic and committed to high performance.
