EzCater is a leading food‑for‑work technology company that connects corporate customers with restaurants nationwide. In its Operations organization, ezCater manages millions of orders annually across a marketplace that includes corporate customers, restaurant partners, and delivery providers. The role reports to the Chief Operations Officer and focuses on owning the analytics function that informs decision‑making before operational issues surface.
What You'll Do
Serve as a key thought partner to the COO and Operations leadership team,
synthesizing findings from delivery and partner data and customer support into clear recommendations.
Own the strategic direction and roadmap for Operations analytics,
setting priorities and building the structure needed to scale the function.
Lead and develop a team of 7 analysts,
cultivating a culture of rigor, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Build a data‑driven operations culture,
moving the organization away from averages toward nuanced segmentation.
Champion a test‑and‑learn mindset across the ops org,
normalizing experimentation and building measuring infrastructure.
Own the data foundation for Operations analytics,
creating reporting‑ready models in Snowflake via dbt and establishing KPI cadences.
Partner closely with Data Tech, Technology, Product, and Finance,
aligning on data infrastructure, tooling, and shared definitions.
What You Have
10+ years of progressive experience in analytics or data science,
including at least 3 years leading a team in a high‑velocity operations or B2B technology environment.
Direct experience working in a multi‑side marketplace,
understanding supply, demand, and fulfillment dynamics.
Proven ability to build and scale an analytics function,
including hiring and managing analysts across multiple workstreams.
Deep expertise in operational analytics,
including network performance, partner health, cost efficiency, and customer experience metrics.
Exceptional analytical depth,
including causal inference, A/B and switchback testing methodologies.
Expert‑level fluency across the modern data stack
(SQL, Python/R, Snowflake, dbt) and familiarity with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.
Demonstrated ability to shape strategy at the leadership level,
translating findings into actionable recommendations.
A strong bias toward action,
moving quickly from analysis to execution in a high‑volume environment.
Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for team gatherings.
Compensation Annual total target cash compensation (base salary + bonus target) is
$235,681–$328,656 . Final offer amounts vary based on experience and region and do not include equity, 401(k), or benefits.
