We are seeking a highly skilled Odoo Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing business requirements, configuring Odoo modules, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects within a collaborative environment, leveraging extensive knowledge of IT systems, system architecture, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise and exceptional problem-solving abilities to optimise business processes through customised Odoo implementations.
*Duties*
* Analyse and gather client requirements to develop tailored Odoo solutions that align with organisational objectives.
* Configure and customise various Odoo modules, including sales, inventory, accounting, and manufacturing, ensuring they meet client specifications.
* Collaborate with technical teams to integrate Odoo with other enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP, or bespoke applications via RESTful APIs and web services.
* Conduct system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and stability of implemented solutions.
* Provide comprehensive training and support to end-users to facilitate smooth adoption of the ERP system.
* Document system configurations, workflows, and user manuals to maintain clear records for future reference.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies such as cloud computing (AWS, Azure), containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker), and DevOps practices to enhance solution architecture.
* Assist in designing scalable system architectures that incorporate load balancing, high availability, and security measures like firewalls and VPNs.
* Participate in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes including requirement analysis, design, deployment, and maintenance.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant or similar ERP implementation role with a strong understanding of business process analysis.
* Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure including computer networking (DNS, DHCP), operating systems (Windows, UNIX/Linux), virtualisation (VMware, ESXi), and system administration.
* Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, C++, Ruby on Rails, VBA or Shell Scripting for customisation purposes.
* Familiarity with database management systems including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
* Strong understanding of system design principles such as microservices architecture, service-oriented architecture (SOA), RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.
* Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker containers (Kubernetes), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
* Awareness of information security best practices including firewall configuration, VPN setup and secure API development.
* Experience working within SDLC frameworks using methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall is preferred.
* Additional skills in systems engineering—including load balancing strategies—and familiarity with PegaSystems or Simulink are advantageous.
