Job Description

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company that has been in business for over 50 years, is currently looking for a Controller to join their team in Anjou. This is a solid SME of approximately 70 employees, known for its dynamic environment, collaborative culture, and willingness to do things a little differently.

This Controller role within a manufacturing environment involves overseeing the full accounting cycle, supervising a team, and playing a strategic role in financial operations.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a key role within the organization by acting as a strategic business partner and ensuring the integrity of financial information. You will oversee a small accounting team and thrive in a fast-paced environment where autonomy and proactivity are highly valued.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys having a tangible impact, working in a non-micromanaged environment, and actively contributing to process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle and the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Supervise and develop a small accounting team
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Manage cash flow and coordinate certain financial operations
• Act as a business partner to management to support decision-making
• Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements

Profile Sought

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in manufacturing and/or a multi-entity environment (an asset)
• CPA (an asset)
• Strong Excel skills
• Functional bilingualism in French and English
