Cyber Security Engineer
As the
Cyber Security Engineer , reporting directly to the Director of Information Security, youll play a role in shaping, and executing cutting-edge cybersecurity strategies while also maintaining a secure environment by handling incident response, threat hunting, doing assessments,
investigating malware incidents, managing patching software, and supporting end users at a Tier 1 level
This is a direct hire position, located in the St Louis, MO area
Must be onsite / Hybrid schedule
What Youll Do:
Work on key initiatives
of the Division Information Security Plan, collaborating with Division and Global teams to strengthen defenses.
Respond to cybersecurity
questionnaires from clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Investigate and resolve cybersecurity incidents
by partnering with experts in Network, Infrastructure, and the IT team to protect our systems.
Ensure conformity
of servers with other information systems that follow system hardening best practices.
Investigate
and respond to malware events
Elevate cybersecurity awareness
by supporting the Director in rolling out impactful training programs for IT and end users.
Manage various security software
applications for the entire organization. Collaborate with IT teams to address vulnerabilities and enhance overall security posture.
Monitor and manage MDR
(Managed Detection and Response) and investigate antivirus/malware events.
Stay informed of the latest cybersecurity
threats, trends, and technologies to continually improve security measures.
Enhance policies and procedures
, working both within the Division and with Business Teams to continuously improve our cyber defenses.
What You Bring:
A
Bachelors Degree
and
5+ years of experience
in information security.
Prior experience in IT Systems
/
Network Administration,
and having moved to a security orientation.
Strong knowledge
of malware analysis and incident response procedures.
Proficiency in managing
patching software and understanding of patch
management best practices.
Ability to support
end users at a Tier 1 level.
Familiarity with
Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Servers, and SCCM.
Certifications like
CISSP, CCSP, CISM , or a demonstrated commitment to professional development are a plus.
Deep knowledge of
cybersecurity frameworks and standards
such as NIST
800-171 and other relevant security guidelines and frameworks.
