Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Denver, CO

Schedule: 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM
Contract Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $24 - $27/hr
Position Summary
The Desktop Support Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering technical support, troubleshooting, and IT solutions to employees across the organization. This role is responsible for providing both in-person and remote support, ensuring seamless operations for end-users. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and proactive in resolving IT issues while maintaining high standards of professionalism and efficiency.
The Desktop Support Engineer will report to the VP of Enterprise Technology and collaborate closely with IT leadership and other teams to implement best practices and maintain technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality technical support to staff, including executive leadership.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues for Windows and Mac OS devices.
Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheral devices.
Manage and maintain web conferencing platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Assist in networking troubleshooting and collaborate with the infrastructure team to resolve connectivity issues.
Administer Microsoft 365, including user and device management via Entra (Azure AD) and Intune.
Liaise with third-party vendors for hardware and software support when required.
Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and update documentation for internal use.
Manage and prioritize IT help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolutions.
Support IT projects and initiatives as directed by leadership.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance IT support operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Strong understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience managing Microsoft 365, Entra (Azure AD), and Intune.
Familiarity with standard networking services such as DHCP, DNS, and print/file/resource servers.
Basic knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, OSI model, and Cisco networking equipment.
Experience in scripting using PowerShell is a plus.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with IT leadership and support teams.
Strong multitasking and time management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communication skills with the ability to provide technical support to non-technical users.
Education & Experience
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
A+ Certification strongly preferred.
Network+, CCENT, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role in an enterprise environment.
