We are seeking a Support Analyst to join our UK based Support and Implementation team. This role involves providing technical support to our client base, performing updates to systems, participating in new implementations and ensuring the seamless operation of our products and services.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer facing application support role and be looking to further their career. We are looking for a great problem solver who loves talking to customers, helping to solve their problems and getting the maximum value from our solutions.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Providing support to our customer base, including both resolving technical issues and advising on the best use of our products and services.
* Diagnosing application, database, network and API issues.
* Deploying updates to existing systems using Octopus Deploy and other deployment technologies.
* Working with customers during the testing phase of new products and services.
* Conducting regular system audits and performance optimisations as part of preventative maintenance.
*Required Skills*
Our solution are primarily (though not exclusively) based on Microsoft technologies so the following skills are required:
* Comfortable administering and troubleshooting Windows 11 desktop and Server from 2016 and onward.
* Strong network troubleshooting knowledge including TCP / IP, VPNs, Windows Firewall, Wifi configurations etc.
* Experience supporting API based web applications using browser Developer console and Network tab, in addition to legacy desktop applications.
* Competent writing SQL queries to retrieve and update data and in general SQL administration such as nightly maintenance plans, reindexing etc.
* Proficiency in Powershell and Command Line would be beneficial
* Comfortable with manual as well as automated deployments, including manual configuration of configuration files and variables.
* Familiarity with Azure PaaS offerings.
* Familiarity with the Office365 suite.
*Experience:*
* At least 2 years working in a customer facing application support role, supporting bespoke applications in a Windows / Azure environment.
* Experience owning tickets, prioritising, and working calmly under pressure.
* Experience working as part of a team whilst being trusted to work alone.
* Ready to step into a 2nd line role.
* Experience running small projects, or a willingness to do so, reporting progress and adjusting approach to stay on target.
* Experience using Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps and Jira Service Desk beneficial but not essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
