Your Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will work part-time, 22 hours a week, with shifts from 8:30 AM to 6 PM. This is a year-round position, as we operate throughout the year, not just during term time. The ideal candidate will hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification.

Why Join Us?

Your Responsibilities

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Meet each child’s individual needs, delivering high-quality care and education in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Observe, assess, and plan engaging early years activities that cater to each child’s unique learning and development.
  • Collaborate with your team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and applied.
  • Follow risk assessments diligently and report any health and safety concerns to management.
  • Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.

*Please note that the duties and responsibilities outlined are not exhaustive and may evolve as needed.

What You Need

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (essential).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (essential).
  • Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years (desirable).
  • Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements (desirable).

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts, and this position will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duty.

Cherryvale Nursery is proud to be part of the Family First Group, where we treat everyone with respect and equality. We are dedicated to providing equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices for all children and families, regardless of their background.
