*Job Summary*
The Hands-and-Feet Support Resource provides *onsite, physical IT support* for End user equipment, data center equipment and office infrastructure operations. The job consists of executing tasks related to Install, Move, Add & Change and Break & Fix of IT equipment.
The position is critical for ensuring timely incident resolution, equipment availability, and smooth day-to-day IT operations. Resource will be deployed at a dedicated customer location and will be required to support remote sites as & when required according to SLAs.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Onsite IT & Data Center Support*
* Perform Onsite operations involving *physical installation, de-installation, and relocation* of IT equipment (meeting rooms, desktop/laptops, printers, servers, switches, routers etc.).
* Rack, stack, cable, and label equipment according to standards.
* Track asset movements (inbound/outbound/RMA)
* Connect/disconnect power, network, and peripheral cables.
* Escort vendors and third-party engineers when required.
* Travel to support offshore platforms(if applicable)
*Incident & Request Handling*
* Act on instructions from *remote L2/L3 support teams*.
* Support incident resolution by performing physical checks, reboots, part replacements, or cable reseating.
* Respond to service requests, break-fix tasks, and change activities.
* Provide local support for *Priority / Critical incidents* as per SLA.
* Act on any business continuity/ disaster recovery (DR) IT plan support drills and failover activities
* Support onboarding/offboarding activities (device handover/collection)
Support change window activities (pre-checks, execution, post-checks)
Assist in lifecycle replacements and hardware refresh programs.
* Assist with Project work when needed (some travel might be involved
*Monitoring & Maintenance*
* Perform basic health checks (LED status, power status, visual inspections).
* Monitor environment conditions (temperature, humidity, alarms).
* Maintain cleanliness and order in network/server rooms and data centers.
* Assist with preventive maintenance activities.
*Asset & Documentation Management*
* Maintain inventory records of IT assets and consumables.
* Perform Disposals of equipment as per process
* Update ticketing systems with clear execution notes and evidence (photos, logs).
* Follow change management and access control procedures.
*End-User / Kiosk Support (if applicable)*
* Provide 1st level support to users for queries related to corporate applications, End user devices and applications.
* Follow the SOPs & knowledge documents to resolve end user related incidents.
* Create tickets on user’s behalf to seek support from other technical teams.
Trainings related to customer specific technologies and equipment will be provided, if applicable.
