We are now seeking a motivated and results‑driven Sales Development Representative to join our growing sales team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a foundation in sales while contributing directly to our company's growth and success.
Brain Power Software is an employee‑owned small employer in South Carolina on a mission to promote financial education for employees around the globe.
Job Location Fully Remote in South Carolina with quarterly travel to Charleston, SC, customer sites, or industry events.
Core Responsibilities
Drive the top of our sales funnel by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing high‑quality prospects.
You will serve as the first point of contact for potential customers, creating meaningful connections that translate into sales opportunities for our Sales Team.
Your primary focus will be generating qualified leads through strategic outbound prospecting.
You will be our Founding Sales Development Representative and will be expected to provide front‑line input and feedback to our management team.
You will develop long‑lasting, trusted, meaningful professional relationships with our future customer base of experienced human resources and finance professionals from a variety of industries.
Follow and improve sales processes, documentation, and examples.
Day‑to‑Day Activities
Research and identify target prospects using various tools and databases, including LinkedIn, CRM systems, and industry resources.
Conduct high‑volume outbound prospecting through phone calls, emails, and social media outreach to engage potential customers.
Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, webinars, and website inquiries to determine fit and buying intent.
Schedule qualified discovery calls and product demonstrations for Account Executives.
Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions and progress in our CRM system.
Collaborate closely with management to optimize messaging and improve conversion rates.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge
Communicate on Zoom with professionalism, ownership, and enthusiasm.
Respond to communications via task tracking software, email, and messaging.
Weekly coordination, forecasting, and metric review meetings with the management.
Team Structure
The Sales Development Representative reports directly to the Director of Financial Operations at Brain Power Software.
Qualifications and Skills
A Sales Development Representative should have a high school diploma.
1‑2 years of experience in sales, customer service, business development or related education.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Comfortable with high‑volume phone and email outreach
Self‑motivated with a competitive drive to exceed targets
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
All Brain Power Software team members are required to have empathetic English language communication in all forms, including written on a computer, verbal in person, verbal over the phone, and interactive on video and screenshare.
All Brain Power Software team members are required to complete an onboarding workflow that includes background checks, drug screening, and information security awareness training.
Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for the Sales Development Representative is $50,000 On Target Earnings (OTE) with potential for $80,000+ for over‑performance.
