At Abilities Therapy & Early Learning Center, we are passionate about helping children grow, learn, and thrive. We are currently seeking a compassionate, motivated, and collaborative Physical Therapist to join our team!
*About the Role*
This position involves working with infants, toddlers, and young children in both individual therapy sessions and small group settings. Our therapists focus on building meaningful skills through play-based, child-led interventions in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide individual physical therapy services
* Support development of fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and play skills
* Collaborate with speech therapists, special educators, and families
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs/IFSPs)
* Complete documentation and progress notes in a timely manner
* Participate in team meetings and parent communication
*What We’re Looking For*
* Licensed Physical Therapist (or eligible for licensure in NY)
* Passion for working with children and families
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Experience in pediatrics, early intervention and CPSE preferred

Daily tasks may include a variety of duties, and responsibilities:
* Provide support and advice to the child’s parents and teachers about every angle of their care that has to do with the occupational therapy needs of the child
* Knowledge of sensory integration
* Attend meetings when needed to provide specialist advice as regards the functional needs of the child
* Vigilant at all times to ensure and maintain a safe environment for the child
* Plans further treatment and review the child’s general progress
* Work closely with doctors, family members, and teachers of the child by keeping them updated on his/her progress
* Participate in multi agency working groups so as to help in the development of clinical and policy changes
* Assess the child for adaptations and use of specialist equipment when necessary
* Have knowledge in the use of Frontline IEP and the CPSE Portal
* Identify areas of improvement in the entire procedure and help in managing adaptive changes in ways through which services are rendered to the child.
