Process Safety Engineer

Job DescriptionAs a Process Safety Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's Process Safety engineering efforts. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with safety and environmental regulations and industry standards, and the implementation of best practices. You will report directly to our HSE Manager and you'll work out of our Shreveport, LA location with the Shreveport site personnel. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility. Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.Lead/participate in hazard reviews and pre-start up safety reviews of manufacturing activities. Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures.Lead/participate in investigations of process-related incidents. Conduct training on process safety related topics; develop/update training materials as needed. Generate periodic reports on the status of various process-safety related activities; follow up with management to help ensure timely completion of activities.Work with Pilot Plant Engineering Design and Construction Group to help develop engineering design standards related to process safety systems.
