As a full-time day-shift Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work within our Healthcare & Medical Services department, collaborating closely with RNs, providers, care coordinators, and support staff to deliver comprehensive, high-quality clinical care. In this role, you will perform direct patient care, including obtaining vital signs, administering medications and immunizations under provider orders, performing basic wound care, assisting with procedures, and monitoring patients for changes in condition. You will support patient assessments by collecting health histories, documenting symptoms, and updating electronic health records accurately and promptly, ensuring all information meets regulatory and organizational standards. You will educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, chronic disease management, preventive care, and wellness, using clear, culturally sensitive communication tailored to a diverse patient population. The LPN FT Day will coordinate patient flow through the clinic, prepare exam rooms, maintain infection control and safety protocols, manage supplies, and contribute to efficient daily operations. Working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, you will actively participate in care team huddles, quality improvement initiatives, and community-focused health programs that align with Good Samaritan’s emphasis on compassion, integrity, and community engagement. You will advocate for patients’ needs, help address social determinants of health by connecting patients to appropriate resources, and support a welcoming, respectful atmosphere for every individual, regardless of background or ability to pay. This position offers opportunities for professional growth through ongoing training, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and exposure to population and community health initiatives. The ideal candidate is a licensed LPN with strong clinical skills, sound judgment, reliability, and a genuine passion for serving vulnerable and underserved populations while contributing to meaningful patient outcomes during regular daytime hours.
