\*\*Position Overview:\*\*
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in developmental disabilities, you will play a crucial role in assessing clients' communication abilities, designing individualized therapy plans, and implementing strategies to support speech, language, and social communication development. This position is approximately a 50/50% home/travel position.
\*\*Responsibilities:\*\*
· Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' speech, language, and communication skills, as well as their social communication abilities.
· Develop customized therapy plans tailored to address clients' unique needs, goals, and developmental milestones.
· Provide indirect therapy services to clients, including articulation therapy, language intervention, social skills training, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support.
· Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including Occupational therapists, Physical therapists, Recreational Therapist, and Behavior analysts, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
· Engage clients, families, and caregivers in therapy sessions, providing education, training, and support to facilitate carryover of skills into daily life.
· Monitor clients' progress, document therapy outcomes, and adjust intervention strategies as needed to maximize communication success and functional independence.
\*\*Qualifications:\*\*
· Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Virginia.
· Certification, specialization, or experience in working with developmental disabilities of all ages preferred.
· Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized assessments of speech, language, and social communication.
· Strong clinical skills in developing and implementing evidence-based intervention plans.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
· Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting best practices in speech-language pathology.
· Must be able to pass a background check, Virginia Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry check, and a List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) check.
· Must be able to create own work schedule, while meeting job requirements.
