Southern Point Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Dispatcher / Sales Customer Service Representative for a sod company in the Albany area. This role combines dispatching, customer service, and sales support to ensure efficient daily operations and excellent client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in dispatching, customer service, or a related field and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Schedule & Pay $15-$17Hr Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (occasional extended hours until 6:00 PM) Must be available to work every other Sunday Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and dispatch drivers using routing and mapping systems Schedule deliveries and ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal team members Provide excellent customer service via phone and email Assist with sales support, including order entry and customer inquiries Maintain and update dispatch logs, schedules, and delivery records Use Excel spreadsheets and internal systems to track orders and logistics Monitor daily operations and address any delivery or service issues promptly Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience in dispatching, customer service, or similar role Strong phone and communication skills Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general computer skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Dependable with strong attendance and work ethic Ability to work closely with team members and maintain clear communication General office and administrative knowledge required Basic understanding of DOT rules and regulations is a plus (not required) What We're Looking For: A team player with a positive attitude Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Someone who can handle both logistics and customer-facing responsibilities A reliable individual who can manage multiple priorities effectively
