The European Doula Network (EDN) is a sociocratic network comprising 68 doula associations and training programs across 28 countries. Representing over 5,000 doulas, EDN partners with global perinatal organizations to enhance the well-being of mothers, babies, and their families. EDN fully supports the 12 steps to Safe and Respectful Mother-Baby-Family Maternity Care and collaborates with organizations like DONA International and the International Childbirth Education Association. The network emphasizes evidence-based research and has conducted impactful surveys to inform doula training and professional development.
Role Description
This is a part-time role for a Volunteer Co-editor EDN Newsletter to join the existing virtual team. Co-editors are responsible for content planning, research, writing, editing, and proofreading articles for the quarterly newsletter. Additionally, the role includes coordinating with contributors, sourcing relevant images, monitoring industry trends, and ensuring the timely publication of the newsletter.
Qualifications
- Content Planning, Research, and Writing skills
- Editing and Proofreading skills
- Experience in Coordinating with Contributors and sourcing relevant images
- Able to (learn how to) use Mailchimp
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Great team spirit and 'can do' attitude
- Experience in the maternal healthcare or doula field
