What we need

TheSeniorEHSManager(Compliance/Operations)is responsible fordeveloping, implementing, andmaintainingprograms that ensure the organization meets all environmental, health, and safety regulatory requirements. This role provides strategic leadership in compliance,operation safetymanagement,partners closely withcross functionalteams, and drives continuous improvement to reduce risk and support safe, efficient operations at scale.

This is a hybrid role requiring approximately 40% domestic travel. You will work on-site at various project locations based on business needs, with your home base at our Wilmington, MA headquarters. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the HQ to support the hybrid schedule.

The EHS Training Manager is part of the Manufacturing Operations organization; the EHS team is responsible formaintainingand improving the overall safety and performance of the organization.The EHS organization drives compliance with regulations, fosters a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and social consciousness, while buildingastrong stakeholder relationship to drive a culture of Safety at Symbotic.

Whatyou’lldo

  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local EHS regulations. 

  • Subject Matter Expert for safety training requirementsto ensure all employees, contractors, and managers are aware of their roles and responsibilitiesand act as aliaisonleading executionfor Manufacturing, Customer location & Construction site.

  • Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update internal policies andprocedures,and work with fellow operational safetyteam members to implementand improve safety culture at customer sites. 

  • Interpret safety standards, health codes, and regulations.

  • Lead communication with EHS agenciesincluding OSHA.

  • Lead compliance audits, inspections, and corrective action planning.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems, safety programs, and compliance processesacrosscustomer operations sites

  • Manage & lead Environmental programs not limited to RCRA-waste management, DOT &Sustainability

  • Serve as asubject matterexpert on EHS regulations and best practices.

  • Promote awareness of EHS policies, initiatives, and best practices through effective communication and engagement campaigns.

  • Work closely with Operations, Legal, HR, Facilities, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of EHS programs.

  • Implement behavioral based training programs.

  • Leadin thedevelopment of corporate safety policiesand the safety management system.

Whatyou’llneed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Healthor related field.

  • Minimum of8years’ experiencein Occupational Safety & Health (robotics, warehouse automation,automotive or manufacturing environment, preferred)With Masters, 3 years of experience.

  • ASP or CSP preferred.

  • Worker’s Compensation experience&OSHA 30-Hour Trainer Certificationa plus.

  • Demonstrated professional with passion for change and relentless focus on execution.

  • Execution, attention to detail, initiative, conflict resolution, customer focus, collaboration, building ownership and commitment,establishingdirection, drive for change, getting organizational support, tenacity, and skills in share point sites.

  • Strong oral and written communication, analytical, problem solving and human relations skills

  • Must be highly organized; able to prioritize and meet target dates in a very fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrates strong leadership, is self‑motivated and self‑directed,possessessolid Microsoft Office skills, and excels in time management, meeting deadlines, and communicating effectively with others.

Our Environment

  • Openoffice environment.

  • Knowledgeof plant operations/ability to work on a manufacturing floor.

  • Capableof standing and walking for upto6 to 8hours a day, if required.Ability tolift upto 30lbs.

  • Up to 40%ormore oftravel may berequired. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

  • The employeeis responsible forowning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $108,000.00 - $148,500.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
