A Data Engineer will be part of the cross‑functional Data & Integrations team, handling data analysis and ETL across multiple projects. The ideal candidate works autonomously, adapts to evolving structures, and thrives with data. This role can be full‑time employment or a 1099 contract.
Responsibilities
Utilize ETL technologies such as Snowflake and other cloud data platforms.
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and analytics strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
Evaluate and optimize data structures.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve pipeline transparency, performance, scalability, and reliability using Snowflake OpenFlow and related ELT/ETL tools.
Ensure AI/ML readiness of data by preparing and maintaining semantic models, ensuring robust data quality, and enforcing data access.
Produce field mapping and translation documentation for manual and scripted migrations.
Work within Agile methodology, managing tasks and tickets as assigned.
Communicate with clients and team members for requirements gathering, clarification, and planning for data conversions.
Document work and processes for team use.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience with an ETL tool such as Talend, Fivetran, Matillion, or Airbyte.
4+ years of experience using SQL and RDBMS.
2+ years of experience with AWS or Azure cloud databases/data lakes.
1+ year of active coding experience in Python.
Experience with ERP solutions such as SAP and CRM solutions such as Salesforce is preferred.
Mastery of Excel.
