We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment. Experience with programmable logic controllers, schematics, and CMMS systems is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where leadership and customer service skills are valued. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of supervising maintenance activities when needed.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime.
* Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
* Repair or replace faulty components including motors, switches, wiring, and pneumatic systems.
* Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize machine performance.
* Conduct welding repairs and residential painting as required for facility upkeep.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
* Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
* Assist in facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC repairs.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.
* Provide excellent customer service to internal teams by promptly addressing maintenance needs.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
* Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting with schematics and ohmmeters.
* Mechanical knowledge with skills in welding and residential painting preferred.
* Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software.
* Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings.
* Supervising experience is a plus; leadership skills are highly valued.
* Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Prior experience in customer service within a technical setting is advantageous. This Maintenance Technician role is integral to maintaining operational excellence across our facilities while fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
