Day Support/Direct Care Professional

Job Title: Direct Care Worker
Location: Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania (On-site)

Salary: $16.00/hr

About the Role
We’re hiring a Direct Care Worker to provide high-quality, compassionate care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting to live a more independent life. As a Direct Care Worker, you’ll support individuals with social, emotional, and environmental support to help them achieve greater independence. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to ensuring that individuals are supported in a respectful and dignified manner.

Responsibilities

●Provide direct care to individuals participating in the day program

●Assist in training new staff to ensure consistent service delivery

●Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations and internal policies

●Administer medication and ensure proper documentation and tracking of all medications

●Encourage the development of life skills to promote independence

●Support indiviudals in participating in community activities and daily routines

Required Qualifications

●At least 18 years old

●High School Diploma or equivalent

●Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications

●Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities

●Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
