After operating as a single location for over 60 years, Home Surplus has expanded to 5 stores in NJ and MD in recent years as it grows into a national footprint. Position Summary
The Pro Experience Manager (PXM) is responsible for acquiring and nurturing relationships with Pro customers - contractors, installers, small business owners, etc. Reporting to the Chief Experience Manager (Store Manager), this role focuses on business development and sales growth. Key Responsibilities
Identify and engage new Pro customers through calls, emails, and in-person meetings. Generate leads through research, networking, and referrals. Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions. Maintain and track prospecting records using Salesforce. Conduct store tours and introduce customers to key team members. Organize Pro events and represent the company at industry events. Qualifications
Basic knowledge of home construction and renovation. Minimum 2 years of sales experience in retail or distribution. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance. Strong sales and business development skills. Confident in cold calling and face-to-face meetings. Excellent relationship manager. Organized, resilient, and energetic. Preference for bilingual English/Spanish. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Comfortable with technology and data analysis. Professional, detail-oriented, and proactive. Familiarity with cabinetry products is beneficial. Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Approximately 60% in the field, 40% in store. Prolonged periods of computer use, walking, and standing. Exposure to a moderately noisy retail environment. Compensation & Benefits
