Academic Physician – OB/GYN

Lee Health along with the department of Women’s Health seek an OB/GYN physician qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank at Florida State University College of Medicine. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in both Cape Coral and Fort Myers.

The successful candidate will practice in the area of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Opportunities exist to participate in clinical and translational research. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates will actively engage in scholarly activity.

Qualifications : applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a Florida state medical license. Candidates must be board certified / eligible in OB/GYN. Candidates must have completed an accredited residency program by the time of appointment. Preference will be provided to those who have engaged in teaching experience in residency/fellowship programs. Active BLS and ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association as well as a Florida DEA that is active and unrestricted are required.
