Utility Engineer
MAIN JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for ensuring industrial services management, operation and maintenance, and to ensure optimal cost, highly efficient, quality and sustained generation and distribution of utilities (Hot area) for the factory operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Build Engineering Capability
  • Ensure personnel responsible for operating, maintaining, and managing industrial services systems (e.g., biomass boilers, package boilers, CWW – Colored Water & Waste water evaporators, flume systems, coffee grounds handling, compressed air, blowers, RO water, biomass handling) are fully competent.
  • Establish, regularly review, and execute competency assessment and development plans for the Industrial Services team.
2. Standard Definition & Adherence
  • Plan, execute, and manage the design, modification, and continuous improvement of industrial services plants, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Utilising own area of competency and specialisation or with competent 3rd parties.
3. Operations Management
  • Support industrial services operations to achieve high efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Ensure safety of both personnel and processes across all stages—from design and installation to routine inspections and audits
  • Guarantee reliable utility supply to meet production requirements
  • Ensure all utilities in contact with products comply with food safety standards, local regulations, and Nestlé requirements.
4. Maintenance & Improvement
  • Drive high-performance operations through effective asset maintenance aligned with Nestlé strategy.
  • Apply TPM and AMM (Asset Maintenance & Management) methodologies to optimize asset lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to effective technical store and spare parts management.
5. Budget Management
  • Assist the budgeting and cost monitoring of industrial services.
  • Build the maintenance budget (zero base), ensuring justification, request, implementation, reporting and tracking in line with Guidelines.
6. Asset Management
  • Conduct annual physical verification of 100% of fixed assets in assigned areas in accordance with Fixed Asset Accounting schedules.
  • Ensure proper usage and maintenance of all assets under responsibility.
  • Manage asset registration and maintain accurate asset master data in SAP
7. Energy- Water - HSE Management
  • Identify and drive initiatives for energy and water optimization at the industrial services level
  • Ensure compliance with Quality & HSE standards through effective monitoring and management systems.
REQUIREMENTSEducation Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Good command of English
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role, preferably within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry (e.g., Engineering Supervisor, Industrial Services, Maintenance & Improvement (M&I), or E&A/MES Engineer, or similar roles).
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance and/or fixed asset management, including budget preparation, planning, control, and follow-up. Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning, and maintenance execution is preferred.
  • Experience in supervising technical personnel (mechanical/electrical teams, contractors, suppliers, or third parties) is an advantage.
  • Experience contributing to small-scale engineering improvement projects, including defining technical equipment for Production and/or Industrial Services as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exposure to different technologies and systems, covering both mechanical and electrical/automation (E&A) areas.
  • Participation in cross-functional teams focused on process or packaging optimization.
  • Experience working with defined KPIs/objectives, with a proactive approach to tracking and achieving targets
