We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a s background in auto body repair and restoration, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency with various tools and equipment used in the auto body industry. The technician will be responsible for repairing, restoring and painting vehicles to their pre-accident condition while ensuring customer satisfaction.
*Duties*
* Perform auto body repairs, including frame straightening and panel replacement
* Utilize welding techniques to repair or replace damaged components
* Conduct mechanical inspections and vehicle maintenance as needed
* Use hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment for repairs and refinishing
* Execute auto painting tasks, including buffing and detailing vehicles for a flawless finish
* Install auto glass and ensure proper sealing to prevent leaks
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines
* Prepare accurate auto estimates for repair costs based on damage assessments
* Assist in heavy lifting of vehicle parts and components during the repair process
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results
*Requirements*
* Previous experience in a dealership setting is preferred but not mandatory
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and detailing equipment is required
* Familiarity with auto body repair techniques, including buffing, painting, and restoration processes
* Experience in auto estimating is a plus
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary during repairs
* Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients
* Mechanic experience is beneficial for understanding vehicle systems

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
