We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. This leadership role requires comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practices, patient care, and regulatory compliance. The Pharmacist in Charge will ensure the safe, effective, and efficient dispensing of medications, while maintaining adherence to all legal and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient service excellence. We welcome new grads and retirees as there will be a hands on training.
*Responsibilities*
* Supervise daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and staff coordination.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and pharmacy laws.
* Manage pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and medication management tools to maintain accurate records.
* Conduct patient assessments to optimize medication therapy plans, including immunizations and pain management protocols.
* Provide clinical consultation on complex cases such as critical care, pediatrics, and acute care settings.
* Lead efforts in medical management programs, including medication administration oversight and IV infusion procedures.
* Train and mentor pharmacy technicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient service and operational efficiency.
* Maintain regulatory documentation and prepare for inspections or audits related to pharmacy practice.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans that include pharmacological interventions.
*Skills*
* Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and EMR/EHR platforms for medication tracking and documentation.
* Ability to manage inventory effectively while ensuring medication safety standards are met.
* Experience with immunizations administration and patient education on medication use.
* Leadership skills with the ability to oversee pharmacy operations confidently while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Prior experience working with pharmacy technicians; strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $52.32 - $63.02 per hour
