Trios Health in Kennewick, Washington is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Respiratory Therapist, Certified to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. As a key member of our respiratory care department, you will provide bedside respiratory therapy to patients across a variety of age groups and acuity levels, supporting our mission to deliver safe, high-quality care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. In this role, you will perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, carry out physician-ordered respiratory treatments, and assist in the development and adjustment of respiratory care plans based on patient response and clinical findings. Your daily responsibilities will include administering oxygen and aerosol therapies, delivering nebulized medications, managing BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow systems, and assisting with ventilator management in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff. You will participate in airway management through proper suctioning techniques, monitoring of respiratory status, and coordination with the care team during emergent situations. You will play an essential role in emergency response by participating in codes and rapid response events, providing timely respiratory interventions, and ensuring proper set-up and operation of respiratory equipment in critical situations. Additional duties include obtaining arterial blood gas samples as permitted, preparing and calibrating equipment, and adhering to established protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines that reflect Trios Health’s culture of excellence and accountability. Patient and family education is a vital component of this position. You will help patients and caregivers understand respiratory conditions, demonstrate correct use of inhalers and home equipment when appropriate, and reinforce strategies for pulmonary hygiene and improved breathing. Clear, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record is required to support continuity of care, quality monitoring, and regulatory compliance. As part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to coordinate and optimize respiratory care. You will communicate changes in patient condition, contribute to care planning discussions, and support discharge planning as it relates to respiratory needs.
