Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Content Designer
to support a major
UK Central Government department
on an initial 3-month contract. This role is well suited to someone with prior government experience who is confident delivering high-quality content in line with
GDS standards . You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to design clear, accessible, and user-centred content that supports critical public services.
The Role
As a Content Designer, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering content that meets user needs, policy requirements, and government best practice. You will play a hands-on role in improving service journeys and ensuring content is evidence-based, accessible, and effective. Key responsibilities include: Designing, writing, and iterating content for digital public services Applying content design principles across complex, multi-channel services Producing clear, concise, and accessible content in line with the
