Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant Data Analyst (Temporary Part-Time) for the School of Nursing.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assists in the design and implementation of research studies, including maintaining organized records of research activities and results.
Contacts potential study participants to recruit.
Meets patients at locations to enroll and train them to participate in the study.
Uses RedCap and Qualtrics for data collection.
Conducts literature reviews to gather relevant information and summarize findings.
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data using statistical software.
Prepares reports and presentations based on research findings.
Collaborates with team members and contributes to project discussions.
Supports administrative tasks related to research projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and grant applications.
Pulls reports to create a patient registry in EPIC and chart review.
Eligibility FLSA:
Nonexempt
Salary USD $25 - $35 per hour.

Schedule & Work Arrangement Part Time
– 19.75 hours per week.
Daily Work Shift:
Day.
Hybrid work arrangement may be eligible according to Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 and collective agreements.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field plus two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
High proficiency in R data analysis software.
Experience with survey data, scoring instruments, and creating surveys in RedCap and Qualtrics.
Data visualization experience, making graphs and figures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or ongoing 2nd year Master’s program in Statistics or Biostatistics.
Previous experience in a research setting.
Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
Knowledge of specific research topics relevant to diabetes.
