Overview We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Database Administrator (DBA)
to support a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing fab construction project in Phoenix, AZ. This role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems that support engineering, construction, and operational data across a complex, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings deep database expertise along with a strong technical foundation across multiple programming languages, systems, and tools commonly used in semiconductor and engineering workflows. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable database systems to support fab construction and manufacturing operations Administer, monitor, and optimize
MySQL
and other relational database systems Ensure data integrity, availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies are in place and tested Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineers, software developers, and project managers Support data integration across engineering tools, simulation platforms, and business systems Develop and maintain scripts, automation, and tools using languages such as Java, Python, C, and C++ Work within
Linux
and
Unix
environments to manage database infrastructure Create and maintain technical documentation, data models, and system architecture diagrams Analyze performance bottlenecks and implement tuning strategies Support reporting and analytics efforts using advanced Excel and other Microsoft Office tools Assist in prototyping, modeling, and system workflows using tools such as MATLAB, Logisim, and Axure RP Ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer Strong expertise in
MySQL
and SQL performance tuning Experience working in
Linux/Unix
environments Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, C, or C++ Experience supporting large-scale, data-intensive environments Preferred Qualifications Experience in the
