Job Summary VSolvit LLC is currently seeking a mid-level DevOps Developer to be part of our Chesapeake VA team on a full‑time basis supporting our NIWC US Navy customer. As a DevOps Developer, you will collaborate with our clients to help design, implement, maintain, and test a variety of technical solutions by utilizing a variety of the latest technologies. You will also be responsible for creating and enhancing Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines and various kinds of automation processes (build management, automated deployments, automated testing, configuration management, etc).

Responsibilities
OS experience with Linux and Windows
Working experience on SVN, GIT, and Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Hands‑on experience installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools (Ex. Jenkins, GitLab, Tekton)
Hands‑on experience with configuring Container Clusters and Containerizing Applications (Ex. Amazon ECS, K8s, Openshift, AWS Fargate, Docker)
Knowledge in installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring pipeline tools (Ex. CodeDx, Sonarqube, Coverity, Checkmarx, Fortify)
Knowledge in installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring automation tools (Ex. RH Ansible)
Participate in the SAFe Agile Scrum team environment with a focus on planning and delivering changes iteratively.
Must have a Lean‑Agile mindset and adhere to Agile Principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Collaborate with team members and other business users.
Participate in and promote a team learning culture.
Be able to work remotely without any distractions.
Provide guidance and support to Application Developers
Treat infrastructure as a product and provide ideas on how to continually improve automation services and resiliency of the platform
Gather technical requirements and execute on deliverables
Scale infrastructure and/or applications in an automated way
Monitor and instrument everything, particularly data applications and databases
Follow and execute Production, QA, Dev, and other environmental change control processes
Document DevOps processes, procedures, and environments to ensure continuity
Process work accurately and in a timely manner
Always pay attention to details
Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Must have an active DOD Secret Clearance
Must have Level 1 or higher IAT Certification (A+ CE, Security+, CCNA‑Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP)
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Information Systems or Computer Science
Minimum of four to six years IT/DevOps engineering experience and a minimum of three years of experience working in Windows or Linux server administration with RedHat, Centos or similar toolsets
Strong experience applying DevOps and CI/CD concepts; CI experience in multiple tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Visual Studio Team Services, etc.)
Previous scripting experience in PowerShell, Python or similar scripting language
Knowledge of automated testing (Selenium, Visual Studio, etc.)
Experience with a configuration management tool such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Experience in SQL Server administration & troubleshooting, and web server administration using IIS and/or Apache
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure to deploy highly‑available, scalable, and secure applications
Demonstrated knowledge of Monitoring tools (Application Insights, New Relic, etc.)
Demonstrated knowledge of Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban)
Demonstrated experience working with development tools like SSMS, SQL developer, Jira, Jama, Confluence
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 4-6 years IT/DevOps experience
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving database integrity, performance, blocking/deadlocking, connectivity, and security issues
Professional knowledge of a variety of tools and applications
Demonstrated experience with SharePoint or Microsoft Business Apps and Automation (CRM, PowerApps) platforms
Desire to obtain or utilize technical certifications as part of continuous professional growth
Demonstrated ability to learn fast, adapt to new technology and changes in the environment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and manage multiple priorities while collaborating with internal and external cross‑functional teams
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with users, project teams, and management.
Demonstrated Ability to work on a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of the situation or data requires thorough identification of factors and analysis of impact.
Demonstrated Ability to respond to significant inquiries from users.
Demonstrated Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
