Associate Software Engineer Under general direction of the Manager of Software Engineering, this position deploys and applies practices that combine and optimize software development and IT operations. Candidates are also expected to participate and support software teams in embedded software development activities to identify further process and workflow optimizations.
Support design, development, and implementation of non-routine software engineering applications, including but not limited to real-time embedded software design, controls algorithm software implementation and user-interface design and development. ~ Assist in the analysis and investigation of major software engineering project tasks. ~ Assist in the definition of design specifications and parameters, development and application of major routines and utility programs. ~ Support analysis of system architecture requirements and development. ~50% travel based on assigned program demand.
degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent discipline from four-year college or university required and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; 3+ years of experience troubleshooting PCM Hardware, and experience in supporting PCM, test cell, and test equipment bring up and operation. ~ Knowledge of digital signal processing, machine to machine communications, and fiber optics-based communications subsystems, is a plus ~ Knowledge in C and C++ programming. Knowledge of development in embedded Linux is preferred. ~ Citizenship, and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Recently active SECRET clearance within 24 months is preferred Experience in development and releasing software products meeting highly regulated and safety critical standards, medical or military grade software product, preferred. Knowledge in hands on deployment of shared Agentic AI and LLM engine in standalone infrastructure is a plus Knowledge of Python or C-Sharp is beneficial.
