Avoya Travel is hiring a full-time, experienced Accounting System Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize the Company's NetSuite ERP platform. Serving as the bridge between technical administration and core financial operationsincluding Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognitionthis role ensures that NetSuite supports accurate, efficient, and compliant accounting processes. The ideal candidate will design, enhance, and maintain end-to-end workflows within NetSuite, driving process improvements that increase scalability, strengthen internal controls, and support timely financial reporting. This position partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure a successful NetSuite implementation and ongoing system excellence. The Accounting System Administrator plays a critical role in enabling data integrity, operational efficiency, and the overall financial health of the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of NetSuite, including user roles, permissions, and security Day-to-day management of proprietary software Agent Power Customizing forms, fields, and workflows to support business processes Assisting with month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance Building dashboards, KPIs, and saved searches Maintaining integrations with third-party systems like Banks Own and continuously improve core accounting processes within the NetSuite environment (e.g., record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash) Identify inefficiencies, risks, and manual workarounds; implement scalable solutions Standardizing accounting workflows, policies, and procedures across teams Document processes, controls, and SOPs Proactively troubleshoot and resolve any NetSuite related issues Ensure accounting processes comply with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements Support internal and external audits by maintaining strong process documentation and controls Identify control gaps and partner with stakeholders to remediate issues Partner with Accounting, Finance, Business Intelligence, and Operations teams to align processes Serve as a key NetSuite liaison between accounting with other departments Support new system implementations, upgrades, and automation initiatives Develop KPIs to measure process effectiveness and efficiency Monitor performance metrics and drive data-backed improvements Lead or support process improvement projects Act as key liaison between Avoya Accounting, NetSuite technical team and Implementation partners Lead change management efforts for new processes or tools Train other team members in updated NetSuite procedures and best practices Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence Assist with other tasks and/or special projects as required Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Proficiency in NetSuite platform (custom records, CSV imports, page layouts) Strong understanding of GAAP, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay processes Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong data analysis skills Knowledge of advanced Excel functions and data visualization tools a plus Proficiency in SQL manage and manipulate relational databases Remote Work Expectations:
Able to maintain productivity in a professional home setting with minimal distractions. Requires reliable internet, consistent communication with leadership, andwhen applicabledependable childcare or eldercare arrangements. Maintains a professional and tidy appearance (virtually or in person) during meetings and calls. Experience and/or Education:
A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on accounting experience, including process improvement and/or system administration roles Multiple years of NetSuite administration, specifically within finance/accounting-heavy environments. A BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field required or equivalent CPA or CMA certification a plus Physical Requirements:
Ability to receive and setup company laptop, 15" monitor, keyboard, headset, and mouse (all less than 5-lbs each). Ability to work in a primary stationary job from a laptop computer (ability to accurately type, read, review, write, etc.). Ability to speak English clearly, in a friendly manner, and at an appropriate volume over the company's provided phone system, Microsoft Teams, or in person as needed. Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
