Driver with Caring Duties - antrim

We are currently recruiting a Driver with Caring Duties to join our client across Holywell, Antrim 

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Driver to join our team for an initial period of 2–3 months. This role involves both driving and caring responsibilities, supporting individuals with a range of needs.

Location: Based at Holywell Hospital Site Antrim but driver may be required to cover within the NHSCT geographical area

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm 37.5 hours per week (subject to operational requirements)

Pay £12.71 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely collect and transport clients/patients, including individuals who are elderly, physically disabled, epileptic, blind, or have psychiatric conditions, to adult/day care facilities.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs, including checking and topping up fuel, oil, and water levels, monitoring tyre pressure, cleaning the vehicle, and changing punctured wheels.
• Escort clients to various destinations such as educational classes, outings, and luncheon clubs.
• Operate tail lifts on vehicles (training provided).
• Complete journey records including mileage, fuel usage, oil changes, number of passengers, and loading details. Submit daily logs and monthly summaries.
• Ensure wheelchair users are secured using approved restraint systems.
• Perform any other duties relevant to the role.

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced Access NI clearance
• Category D driving licence with no restrictions
• Valid CPC card (minimum 2 years remaining)
