We are currently seeking a Combat System Engineer at the Washington, DC Office. This position is 100 % allocated to support the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Germany F‑127 Frigate Programs. The successful candidate will report directly to the Germany Combat Systems Engineer (CSE) and provide the day‑to‑day support to the U.S. Government Germany Team within PEO IWS 4.0, covering several aspects of acquisition and technical support of the Germany Computer Program and its supporting hardware.
The role will involve travel to CONUS and OCONUS 3–4 times a year and requires strong organization skills with Microsoft Office Suite tools for scheduling, communication, and maintaining the Germany Team’s Data Library.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interpersonal Skills Communication
Oral: Clear and concise statements with context, and encourage clarification questions.
Written: Clear and concise communication tailored to the audience.
Able to streamline communications to appropriate entities.
Maintain daily client updates via various channels.
Draft, review, and route correspondence in accordance with NAVSEA letter‑writing standards.
Leadership
Initiative to prompt tasks that keep the program on track.
Proactive stakeholder engagement.
Collaboration
Identify appropriate stakeholders.
Ask if other entities should be involved.
Problem Solving
Self‑motivated to learn tools and systems, and know when to seek help.
Attempt independent resolution of questions within a reasonable timeframe.
Time Management
Self‑organizing and understanding responsibilities and deadlines.
Manage meeting times to start and end on schedule.
Job Description of What CSE Support Would Do Organization
Use Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, SIPR, and Secure Sharedrive for data management.
Meeting Minutes & Agenda Development and Tracking
Prepare and track documents for CSE Integrated Working Groups (IWGs) and Focus Meetings (FMs)/Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
Scheduling Meetings
Coordinate and send Ad Hoc meeting invites.
Find optimal times for key attendees using MS Outlook.
Remind clients of key meetings and approaching deadlines.
Contracts
Review Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL) and track status with SI&T, Logistics, Tech Rep, etc.
Draft Monthly Contract Officer Representative (COR) Reports for sign‑off.
Review invoices and flag discrepancies to COR.
Coordinate CPARS reviews and set up IPAR syncs with industry quarterly.
Draft or review technical specifications of work prior to COR review.
Collaborate with Finance to ensure funding is available for contract needs.
Systems Engineering
Learn the F‑127 schedule and milestone relationships.
Understand System Security, ITAR, Releasability Guidelines.
Learn the T&E needed to support IAFCL testing schedules.
Risk Management
Consolidate and keep risks updated.
Provide input on risk writing and wording.
Schedule monthly risk reviews at industry level.
Action Item and Planner Tracking
Update the Action Item Power App with CSE status.
Track planner tool tasking and deadlines.
Basic Expectation Ability to work independently on tasks and efforts.
Grow to step in for the Government CSE when needed, especially during absences.
Required Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline.
Required Experience Seven (7) years of relevant experience.
Security Clearance Must hold or maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

Benefits and Compensation Precise Systems offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, disability insurance, retirement plans, holiday pay, employee‑managed leave, and professional growth opportunities. The salary range for this position is NTE $142,000 (annualized USD). Compensation is determined by education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract‑specific requirements.
