Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, shape deal strategy, and translate customer pain into a clear technical plan to win.
Act as the “grid translator” in the room: explain Paces-produced transmission studies, interconnection risk, queue dynamics, assumptions, and tradeoffs to both developers and executives.
Lead customer-facing discovery on complex workflows (permitting, interconnection, environmental/siting, design) and map them to Paces’ solution capabilities.
Build and deliver compelling demos tailored to persona (development, engineering, permitting, exec), including ROI framing and clear “why now” narrative.
Design and run proof-of-value engagements: define success criteria, scope work tightly, execute quickly, and communicate results clearly.
Navigate customer technical stakeholders: IT/security, data owners, engineers, and domain experts—answering tough questions with credibility.
Be the voice of the customer to product and engineering, turning field learnings into concrete feedback, priorities, and repeatable enablement.
Build repeatable pre-sales assets: demo environments, solution designs, RFP responses, talk tracks, objection handling, reference architectures, internal and external enablement materials, and internal playbooks.
Requirements
1+ years experience in power project development or power consulting/engineering.
Ability to independently research technical topics and translate research into customer-facing documentation and presentations.
Experience working at a utility-scale renewable/storage/power or large-load developer, including direct involvement in transmission-level interconnection applications and the queue/study process (submission packages, study milestones, consultant/TO interactions).
Strong technical fluency with software tools and the ability to explain product behavior well enough to troubleshoot live.
Comfortable running structured meetings and translating meeting outcomes into an actionable plan (success criteria, scope, timeline, stakeholders, risks).
Demonstrated ability to present to senior stakeholders with clear, confident communication.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in parallel without dropping details.
Experience working cross-functionally with other teams to resolve blockers and ship improvements tied to revenue.
Familiarity with AI-enabled products.
About You
You’re credible with customer power teams and concise with executives.
You can keep nuance (assumptions, contingencies, criteria) while staying high-signal and commercial.
A fast learner who can pick up new regulatory, environmental, and technical concepts incredibly quickly.
Scrappy with a strong bias to action; willing to set up demos and trials yourself and jump on customer calls.
Commercially minded, always connecting back to revenue impact.
Deeply excited about the intersection of AI, energy infrastructure, and accelerating clean energy deployment through intelligent automation.
Bonus Points
1+ years of early-stage startup experience, ideally in AI, Energy, Development or vertical SaaS.
Familiarity with the tooling and inputs behind power studies (even if you’re not the one producing them).
