Summary The QA/QC Field Technician is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet Unified Building Group’s uncompromising quality standards and project‐specific requirements. This role focuses on field‑level inspections, documentation, and the implementation of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) protocols to minimize defects, ensure compliance with codes and blueprints, and uphold our commitment to excellence. The technician will work closely with Field Supervisors and Project Managers to identify potential issues before they arise and ensure that the final delivery exceeds client expectations.
Reports to: Construction Management Team
Location: Broomfield, CO (with travel to national project sites)
Responsibilities
Field Inspections: Conduct regular onsite inspections of work‑in‑progress to verify compliance with construction documents, project specifications, and safety regulations.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed daily logs, photographic records, and QA/QC reports. Document any non‑conformances and track their resolution.
Standards Enforcement: Ensure all materials and workmanship meet UBG’s pillars of High Quality and Sustainability.
Collaboration: Partner with Field Supervisors and subcontractors to address quality concerns and provide guidance on corrective actions.
Testing Coordination: Oversee or perform specific onsite testing (e.g., compaction, concrete, moisture) as required by project specifications.
Punch List Management: Assist in the development and closeout of punch lists to ensure a seamless project handover.
Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, OSHA safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in construction field operations, preferably with a focus on QA/QC, inspection, or field supervision.
Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering is a plus.
Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in project management software and Google Workspace.
Certifications: OSHA 10‑hour certification required (OSHA 30 preferred). Specific trade or inspection certifications (e.g., ACI, ICC) are highly desirable.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical requirements clearly to diverse teams.
Travel: Ability to travel to various job sites (approx. 25-50% depending on project needs).

Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 (Based on experience)
