As an Occupational Therapist at PruittHealth, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitative care to individuals across a variety of clinical settings within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. You will conduct thorough evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to help patients regain or improve their ability to perform activities of daily living, maximize functional independence, and enhance their overall quality of life. Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team—including nurses, physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, social workers, and case managers—you will actively participate in care planning, goal setting, and discharge planning. You will document all evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately and timely in the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, payer requirements, and PruittHealth policies. Your role will include educating patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, use of assistive devices, home exercise programs, and safety strategies to support continued progress outside the clinical environment. You will provide interventions such as therapeutic exercises, functional training, cognitive and perceptual retraining, splinting, positioning, and environmental modification, adapting your approach to meet each patient’s unique physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs. At PruittHealth, you will be part of a family-owned organization that places dignity, respect, and compassion at the center of care. You will be supported by a culture that values inclusion, teamwork, and professional growth. Through comprehensive onboarding, ongoing education, and career development opportunities, you will be encouraged to expand your clinical skills and pursue areas of specialization within occupational therapy. In this role, you are expected to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, follow infection control and safety protocols, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. You will communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and colleagues, demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity in all interactions. You will also be responsible for managing your caseload efficiently, meeting productivity expectations while maintaining high standards of clinical care. This position is well-suited for a dedicated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about improving patient outcomes, enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare setting, and is committed to ongoing learning and professional development. By joining PruittHealth, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families while building a rewarding and sustainable career in rehabilitative care.
