Intermountain Health is seeking a Manager Nursing Professional Development to lead and advance clinical education across our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing education and professional development programs that support high-quality, safe patient care. Drawing on your expertise in adult learning, clinical practice, and evidence-based education, you will assess learning needs, design competency-based curricula, and coordinate orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education for nurses and interdisciplinary team members. You will manage and mentor a team of nursing professional development specialists and educators, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure effective delivery of educational programs and alignment with organizational priorities. Partnering with nursing leadership, quality, and clinical operations, you will identify performance gaps, translate clinical and regulatory requirements into learning initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in clinical competencies, patient safety, and patient experience. You will oversee the integration of simulation, e-learning, and classroom-based methods, leveraging data and outcomes to refine programs and demonstrate impact on practice and quality metrics. As a key leader within Intermountain Health’s culture of excellence, compassion, and integrity, you will champion best practices in professional development, support career advancement pathways for nurses, and foster a collaborative, innovative learning environment across hospitals and clinics. This position requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills, as well as demonstrated experience in nursing education or professional development within an acute or ambulatory care setting.
