Infectious Disease Physician

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Board-Certified Infectious Disease Physician to join our multispecialty clinic in Sugar Land, Texas, one of the most desirable communities in the Houston area.

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is Houston’s premier multispecialty group practice with 1,000+ physicians across 65 specialties at more than 44 locations. Our physicians practice in a collaborative environment focused on coordinated, evidence-based care that improves outcomes and patient satisfaction.

In this role, you will provide infectious disease consultation and management in outpatient and hospital settings, working closely with primary care physicians and specialists. You will play a key role in patient care, antibiotic stewardship, and clinical education while helping deliver high-quality, cost-effective care to the communities we serve.

Position Highlights:

• Consultative care for patients with complex infectious diseases

• Collaboration with primary care and specialty physicians across a large multispecialty network

• Participation in antibiotic stewardship and clinical quality initiatives

• Continuity outpatient clinics with opportunities for virtual and e-consult care

• Support for transitions of care, including hospital follow-up and home IV therapy management

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Infectious Disease

• American Board of Internal Medicine (or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics)

• Unrestricted Texas Medical License (or eligible)

• Current DEA certification
