Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and evidence-driven Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy services to individuals across the lifespan with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical conditions. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver therapeutic interventions that promote mobility, restore function, relieve pain, and improve overall quality of life. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will partner closely with physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists, case managers, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care. You will use clinical reasoning and current best evidence to select appropriate manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait and balance training, and functional activities tailored to each patient’s goals and abilities. You will educate patients and families on diagnosis, prognosis, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and strategies for long-term self-management. Aligned with Presbyterian Healthcare’s culture of patient care, respect, integrity, accountability, and safety, you will maintain meticulous documentation in the electronic medical record, adhering to all regulatory and organizational standards for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness. You will regularly assess patient progress, update goals, and modify treatment plans as needed, communicating changes with the care team and ensuring patients remain at the center of all clinical decisions. As part of a non-profit health system committed to community health, you will have opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient education programs, and performance metrics aimed at enhancing clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. You will contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment by sharing knowledge with peers, mentoring students as appropriate, and engaging in regular team meetings and case conferences. Presbyterian Healthcare Services is dedicated to professional growth and meaningful career development. In this position, you will be encouraged to pursue continuing education, specialty certifications, and advanced training in areas such as orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics, or cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. You will also have access to resources that support evidence-based practice, including clinical guidelines, protocols, and mentorship from experienced clinicians. The ideal candidate is a licensed Physical Therapist who demonstrates strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and a genuine passion for improving patient outcomes. You are comfortable managing a diverse caseload, prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced healthcare setting, and collaborating effectively with colleagues. You communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and team members, and you are committed to upholding the highest standards of clinical quality, ethics, and safety. This position offers a stable schedule within a major healthcare system, with a mix of direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration time. You will be joining an organization that values your expertise, supports work–life balance, and empowers you to make a tangible difference in the health and well-being of the Albuquerque community.
