• Average Daily Census: 15–20 patients
• Shift Details:
  • 12-hour shifts (06:00–18:30 / 18:00–06:30)
  • Block scheduling
• Call: Yes – as needed
• Systems: EPIC + OBIX documentation, Pyxis med system, SBAR communication

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (minimum), Fetal Heart Monitoring
• Experience:
  • At least 1 year of recent L&D RN experience
  • Experience with high-risk OB patients
  • Competency in circulating for C-sections, recovery, triage, fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and postpartum care
  • Ratios 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity
• Skills:
  • Labor management (EFM, SVE, NSTs, triage, induction, augmentation, preterm labor, VBAC)
  • OB emergencies: hemorrhage, eclampsia, pre-eclampsia, malpresentation, multiples, uterine rupture
  • Circulate/scrub for C-sections, recovery, and immediate neonatal care (APGAR, resuscitation, thermoregulation)
  • Postpartum and newborn couplet care
