Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join Ballad Health’s premier cardiovascular practice consisting of 50 physicians and more than 70 advanced practice providers, Cardiovascular Associates, located in Kingsport, Tennessee.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a nationally recognized, high-volume cardiovascular program providing advanced cardiac and thoracic surgical care at Holston Valley Medical Center—one of the most awarded heart hospitals in the region.
You will collaborate with an experienced team of surgeons and cardiologists in a highly integrated, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to delivering innovative, patient-centered cardiovascular care across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
Position Highlights
Join three established Cardiothoracic Surgeons and three dedicated Physician Assistants
High-volume adult cardiac and thoracic surgical practice
Fully integrated cardiovascular service line
Collaborative care model with all cardiology subspecialties

Opportunities for academic involvement, teaching, and research
Qualifications
American Board of Thoracic Surgery Board Certified or Board Eligible
Minimum 5 years of Cardiothoracic surgical experience preferred
Expertise in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery
Interest or experience in:
Minimally invasive valve surgery
Structural heart procedures
Advanced heart team collaboration
