Senior Electrical Engineer - Dublin or Cork

We are seeking an experienced senior engineer based in Dublin. The successful candidate will work on data centres, industrial, commercial, oil and gas, and pharma projects, with experience in the delivery of European data centres and mission‑critical projects. Experience in process pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial, labs and/or clean rooms is desirable.

• The senior electrical engineer will manage full electrical design on projects of all sizes.
  
• Fulfil electrical design work as required, ranging from electrical building services up to MV topology.
  
• Provide quality control where requested for electrical engineering projects.
  
• Project cost control.
  
• Management of both project teams and cross‑functional teams within the existing organisational structure.
  
• Lead change in new technologies.
  
• Mentor and develop the team.
  
• Travel to client and project locations as requested to represent the company for meetings, surveys, etc.
  

• 
  
• 5+ years as a senior electrical engineer, covering the duties above.
  
• BSc/BEng or degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or sufficient equivalent experience.
  
• MIEE or HNC/HND plus appropriate experience or equivalent. Candidates with chartership or in the process of attaining chartership will have a distinct advantage.
  
• Significant experience of specification design for several building types.
  
• Excellent communication skills.
  
• Must have a full Irish driving licence.
  
• Fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
  
• Sound knowledge of key health and safety issues and legislation.
  
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  
• Proficient in Dialux, Amtech (Trimble), Etap, Eracs Cdegs, etc.
  
• Good understanding of BS standards.
  
• Ability to prioritise own workload.
  
• Ability to work to deadlines.
  
• Managerial skills.
  
• Presentation skills.
  
• Support the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the RED Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspective.
  
• Background in consulting or construction preferred.
  
• Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
  
• Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group.
