Financial Controller

We seek a commercially minded finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Financial Management & Reporting: Lead operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Produce accurate monthly management accounts.
• Oversee cost of sales reporting, yield analysis, and margin performance.
• Manage statutory accounts, audits, and year-end processes.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance.
• Cost Control & Operational Finance: Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Oversee debtor/creditor management and supplier payment cycles.
• Optimize inventory levels across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and industry standards.
• Support traceability, food safety, and quality assurance reporting.
• Maintain insurance, risk registers, and business continuity plans.
• Strategic Leadership: Provide financial insight to support pricing, procurement, and commercial decisions.
• Evaluate capital investment proposals (equipment, upgrades, automation).
• Contribute to long-term business planning and profitability strategies.
• Act as a key member of the senior management team.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure strong cross-functional communication across the plant.

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent). xcfaprz
• Highly experienced in finance; food processing or agri-business experience is desirable.

Salary 75K to 80K
