We provide a wide range of services including Day, Residential and Respite supports to both children and adults in various locations across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary.

CHILDREN’S SERVICES, LIMERICK

Avista provide Residential and Day Services to people with Disabilities. San Joseph Respite House offers overnight respite services to children with complex disability needs.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are committed to supporting children with disabilities and their families, in a child and family centered, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research. This post will include working as part of a team and working varied hours to a roster as this service operates 7 days/nights a week.

  • Have up to date NMBI Registration.
  • Experience in working in the area of intellectual disability.
  • Full clean manual Irish driving licence.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Intellectual Disability Nurse Registration (RNID)
  • Have proven organizational, communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Have an organisational commitment to implement Avista core values and vision.
  • Have previous experience of working with children with a dual diagnosis.
  • Experience and/or interest in working with children
  • Knowledge of person-centred planning and an awareness of HIQA & TUSLA requirements
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have experience of supporting children/adults to integrate into their community

Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
