You will be working to prioritise the backlog for the scrum team, to translate business requirements to technical requirements small enough to be completed within a sprint as working software, to demonstrate to stakeholders sprint achievements and to work directly with the scrum team to successfully delivery value to customers.
Responsibilities: Managing, prioritising, and refining the Product Backlog on an ongoing basis Ensuring user stories meet the Definition of Ready when introduced into a Sprint, and meet the Definition of Done when closed during a Sprint Delivering quality working solutions with the team each sprint Understanding the customers and end-users needs, experience and behaviours and acting as the proxy for the customer in the team, developing or improving accordingly Defining the vision within the team/s for alignment and working with the Product manager and stakeholders to ensure the scope and direction of a stream Understanding all the activities and processes within the value stream in order to identify opportunities for improvement Assign key performance indicators to guide development teams in their solutions Seeking to achieve value outcome metrics set by Product manager that can be measured after delivery to the customer, and continuous inspection and improvement; treating the team as a micro-business Representing the team in front of stakeholders, clients or users, including demonstrating sprint achievements to stakeholders. xcfaprz
Skills and Experience required: Technical: Analytical thinker; using insights, analysis, data, and reasoning in decision making processes Delivery focused thinker, focused on identifying and creating opportunities for continuous product improvement Creative thinking and problem solving skills, able to take an innovative approach to utilise change for the benefit of customers Strong technical literacy, can quickly pick up technical concepts and tailor technology explanations to different audiences (i.e.
developers, business, management, etc.) Strong Jira and Confluence skills Interpersonal: Stakeholder management and advanced communication skills.
An agile mindset Outstanding presentation skills Excellent organisational skills, efficiently managing and prioritising their own time to ensure the Scrum team and the business always feel supported Ability to lead and provide direction and coaching for teams Disciplined active listener Education & Knowledge: College degree, Masters preferred 4 years min experience in a relevant discipline, preferably in similar industry Certified Scrum Product Owner from an industry certified training centre desired but not essential Lean certification a plus Experience: Project Management Experience Business or Functional Analysis Experience Experience of working in Agile methodologies Knows how to define the product roadmap Overall understanding of technologies used in the product and their product journeys Skills: Product owner Agile jira confluence
