The Application Developer Intern will work with the Information Technology (IT) team, focusing on enterprise integration and application development tools to create, test, implement, and maintain web or mobile applications in-house. The intern will demonstrate effective communication with both IT and business partners, show initiative in troubleshooting problems, and contribute to product improvement.
Under supervision, the Application Developer Intern will deliver secure applications based on requirements. The intern will be proactive in defining requirements, developing and deploying applications, implementing best practices, supporting testing efforts, and providing documentation while collaborating with business units. The intern is also responsible for proactively providing project tasks and status updates.
The 12-week internship program begins May 26, 2026 through August 14, 2026.
Essential Functions Application Oversight
Application Development
Seamless third‑party integration, secure coding practices, performance analysis, and streamlining applications
Application Maintenance
Debug, troubleshoot and monitor logs, including legacy applications
Analysis, Design and Testing
Analyze and model
Contribute to development deliverables, including data flow diagrams and class diagrams
Create and communicate documentation, unit testing follow‑up, and change‑management participation
Compliance
Perform other duties as assigned
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
Complete required regulatory training as assigned
Maintain strict adherence and compliance to all relevant laws, rules, regulations and internal controls specific to the role, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge

Cloud services such as Azure and APIs

Experience Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a full‑time student at an accredited college or university
Enrolled in a Computer Science or related degree‑seeking program
Minimum of 60 completed academic hours
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; travel to various locations in the Austin metro area may be required
Must be bondable
Preferred Requirements
Experience building RESTful services using Web API, Java, or other leading web services platforms
Experience building applications using C#, SQL Server, MVC, JavaScript, Java, Swift, Kotlin or Angular
Knowledge of web application‑specific security issues and mitigation
Experience with source control such as Git
Experience working for a financial institution

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Extensive use of the telephone requiring clear and accurate communication of complex information.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment Characteristics
May involve periodic stressful conditions.
May occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours.
This is a hybrid work schedule requiring onsite work at least two days a week.
Public contact position requiring an appropriate professional appearance.
Frequent computer use at a workstation up to two hours at a time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
