Security Analyst
The Security Analyst is a key player in safeguarding the organization's digital assets. Working alongside senior security professionals, this role involves monitoring security tools, investigating security events, and responding to cyber threats across IT and operation technology (OT) environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity, continuously learning, and proactive in identifying and mitigating security risks. Key Responsibilities: Monitor security tools, dashboards, and logs to detect and respond to security events. Analyze security incidents, assess their impact, and recommend mitigation strategies. Conduct incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery. Perform proactive threat hunting to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats. Review and analyze vulnerability assessments, providing actionable recommendations. Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity trends. Develop and refine Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) rules to enhance threat detection. Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure security best practices are implemented. Assist in compliance and regulatory requirements, including audits and security reporting. Qualifications and Experience: 0-2 years of related experience in cybersecurity, IT, or related fields. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in cybersecurity. Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including incident response, threat intelligence, and network security monitoring. Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls) and operating systems (Windows, Linux). Experience or exposure to SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm, or similar tools is a plus. Understanding of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and endpoint security solutions. Security certifications such as CompTIA Security +, CEH, or equivalent are beneficial but not required. Candidate must be a citizen of the United States and be capable of passing a background check.
