BMS Project Lead

We are seeking an experienced Building Management System (BMS) Project Lead Engineer to join a project team on a 12-month contract in Blanchardstown, Dublin. This role offers competitive hourly rates and the chance to work on an exciting new full-site implementation of Siemens Desigo.

This is a site-based, office-hours position, working with a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will join a dedicated on-site team delivering BMS automation expertise across multiple functions.

• Lead the upgrade, configuration, commissioning, operation, and optimisation of Qualified (GxP) and Non-Qualified (Non-GxP) BMS systems across the facility.
• Act as the technical lead for Siemens Desigo, ensuring reliable performance, compliance, and successful system integration.
• Provide subject matter expertise for BMS systems, supporting cross-functional teams including QA, facilities, and manufacturing.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance energy efficiency, system reliability, and sustainability.
• Stay current with emerging BMS technology trends and apply innovative solutions.
• Support integration with HVAC controls, environmental monitoring, and energy management systems using protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or OPC.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks including GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ISA standards.

• Third-level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience working with BMS/HVAC automated control systems, preferably within the Life Sciences/Pharma sector.
• Project Leadership/management experience is essential.
• Previous hands-on experience with Siemens Desigo CC is desirable, but not essential.
• Exposure to other systems (e.g., ABB Cylon) is a plus. xcfaprz
• Strong knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88, ISA-95, and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
